Bihar Shines in Bilaspur – 3 Gold Medals at National Bocce Championship 2025

Bihar’s special athletes brought pride to the state with an outstanding performance at the National Bocce Championship 2025, held from July 24 to 28 at Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh). Competing under Special Olympics Bharat, the Bihar team secured 3 Gold Medals and 4 impressive fourth positions, showcasing determination, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Key Achievements:
• Ishika Raj (Senior) – Gold in Singles
• Ishika Raj & Shivani Kumari (Senior) – Gold in Doubles
• Anurag Sinha (Senior) – Gold in Singles
• Ankit Mishra, Ayush Kumar, Shivam, and Vedanshi Gupta – Fourth Positions in respective categories

The event also served as a selection trial for the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2027 (Santiago, Chile). Coaches Roshan Kumar, Naresh Prasad, and escort Suraj Kumar guided the athletes to this remarkable success.

The Special Olympics Bharat – Bihar leadership, including Dr. Shivajee Kumar (President) and Sandeep Kumar (Secretary), congratulated the team and extended best wishes for future competitions.
